Good Idea or Not?
....
Buying a "List" of
Companies
Hiring Home Workers
Be careful of sending money for any
"list" of companies looking for
home-based employees or ads requesting money
to hire you to complete work. It should not
cost money to apply for these
"jobs". Here's a warning from a
member:
"I don't remember what site on the
internet I found this ad at, but I also saw
it in my local paper. It really sounded
legitimate as they asked for me to send a
sample of my printer. The ad said if the
sample from your printer was not good
enough, you would get your money back within
48 hours. It said that you got paid for all
work completed.
When I responded to their ad through the
e-mail I told them that if it was just
another ad telling me how to get work, do
not send the information but if it was
legitimate work, then send it. I got the
e-mail saying what I said above. Thinking
they would not want a sample of my printer
if they were not offering legitimate jobs, I
sent the $12.95 in.
Well, today I received it. Here's what I
got:
A page telling me how to place ads on the
internet and what to say in the ad. A sample
letter to send out for the response. A disk
with 177 ideas, tips and techniques on
choosing and creating a profitable home
business. I haven't looked at the disk yet,
but they did not say they were selling
information. It read: 'You must have a
quality printer... Applicants are expected
to process all orders that customers
request.' Sounded like a job to me - I guess
I was too gullible. I should have known
better as I've been searching for legit jobs
for years."
