CANADIAN MOMS GAIN NEW RESOURCE FOR WORKING AT HOME
Association Offers Free Ads to Promote More Home-Based Opportunities

HomeBasedWorkingMoms.com (HBWM.com), an online community and professional association for women who work at home and those who want to work at home, is happy to announce a new section created to specifically help Canadian moms find work-at-home success.

HBWM.com will be offering free text ads to Canadian companies looking to promote legitimate home-based opportunities to the Canadian audience. “We know that Canadian moms are just as interested in working from home as every other mom. We want to provide information, advice and opportunities to help them realize their goals,” Lesley Spencer, founder & director of HBWM.com said.

“Hiring home-based working moms to do projects such as word processing, writing, accounting, computer programming and any other jobs that can be done at home makes a lot of sense. Overhead is much lower for home business owners and therefore fees are usually much lower as well,” Spencer said.

In launching the new Canadian channel (www.hbwm.com/canadian), which will be fully expanded in September, HBWM has hired Canadian resident Lynda Menegotti to create content, research and provide advertising services.

"I love being able to put my family first, but I also need to feed my creative spirit. With HBWM I have the best of both worlds,“ Menegotti explains.

Working from home has become increasingly popular as technology continues to provide all the tools and resources to make it viable. “Working from home benefits everyone,” Spencer explains. “Whether you are a home business owner or telecommuting for a company, working at home is worth considering.”

Companies have more office space, more parking, improved employee morale and increased productivity. There are additional benefits of less traffic and less pollution in the environment. The increase in productivity coupled with the cost savings for companies is sure to create more interest for employees and companies alike. “Studies have shown that employees are more productive working at home and their dedication and morale obviously increase. It’s a win-win situation,” Spencer said.

Many parents are also supportive of working from home. “One of the reasons I chose to work from home was so that I could raise my own children.  There’s much more freedom and flexibility to work around their schedule, to share in their milestones and to help navigate their learning adventures,” Tammy Harrison, HBWM’s Independent Creative Rep. explains. “I love this lifestyle and wouldn’t change it for anything.”
