PARENTING, WORK-AT-HOME EXPERT JOIN TO
AUTHOR BOOK SERIES FOR BUSY MOMS
AUSTIN, TX – To help moms thrive in their
increasingly demanding roles, two recognized
experts in parenting and home-based
employment are joining forces to produce an
exciting book series entitled Mom CEO.
Jodie Lynn, author and internationally
syndicated parent/health columnist of Parent
to Parent, and Lesley Spencer, author and
founder of the national association of
Home-Based Working Moms (www.HBWM.com)
are co-authors in this comprehensive new
book series for moms.
New statistics show that record numbers of
moms are returning to the home front. In
fact, recent reports from the U.S. Census
Bureau show that over 5.4 million mothers
put their careers on hold to stay home with
children.
In combining their expertise and life
experiences, Lynn and Spencer will focus on
bringing valuable advice and information to
these, and millions of other moms, for
success in mothering, marriage, career,
parenting and life balance.
"The book series will not only provide
practical advice, but also will lift the
spirits of moms and celebrate their many
roles in life," Spencer said.
"All moms are CEOs. Whether it is Chief
Everything, Chief Everywhere, or Chief
Emotional Officer, moms are Constantly
Evaluating Options for their families and
for themselves," Lynn said.
The first book, Mom CEO: Avoiding the
Distressed Housewife Syndrome and Winning at
Motherhood, is expected to be available this
spring. Other working titles include, Mom
CEO: 101 Best Tips for New Mothers; Mom CEO:
101 Best Tips for Fun, Healthy, Fulfilling
Marriages; Wow Your Spouse and Make Marriage
Fun Again; and Mom CEO: So You Want to Work
from Home. Your Top Questions Answered.
Woven through the series will be findings
from thousands of inquiries received during
the past decade by Lynn and Spencer along
with findings from a survey sent of 40,000
women.
"The series is exciting and is the first of
its kind to include literally thousands of
voices from moms," said Lynn whose work can
be viewed at
ParentToParent.com.
Spencer, a 10-year veteran of home-based
business and a mother of two active
children, has experienced firsthand the
importance of focus and life balance.
"I am excited about the shared vision with
Jodie. We both have survived tremendous life
challenges to get where we are today, and we
both have a desire to help moms," Spencer
said. "With our background and experiences,
I know we can truly provide inspiration to
moms."
Both women are recognized leaders in their
fields with their own high-traffic websites,
books, columns, newsletters and an
ever-growing audience of moms who look to
them for motivation, advice and ideas.
"It's not a secret that within family
challenges, life can become exasperating for
moms. That's why many times, housewives have
a level of despair that leaves them feeling
stressed out and overwhelmed," Lynn said.
Lynn originated the terms, "Mom CEO," "Mommy
CEO" and "CEO Mom" in 1989 and all
implications in "honoring balance in the
lives of moms/women," in print since 1996.
